Which schools do children go to after PIA?
Graduates of PIA smoothly transition to prestigious higher Czech and international schools. Thanks to quality preparation, they adapt quickly and do not require differential examinations, which is also often communicated to us by the schools to which the children later transition.
Is preschool education necessary?
Yes, quality preschool education is crucial for the childโs social, emotional, and intellectual development. It helps children acquire social skills, build emotional stability, and prepare for school attendance and adaptation to a group. It is important, however, that it is stimulating, versatile, leads to independence, but also to cooperation with other children.
What age groups is PIA intended for?
PIA provides bilingual preschool and school education for children from 1.5 to 10 years old. We offer nurseries, kindergartens, and an international primary school.
Where is the PIA located?
The PIA campus is located in Prague in Vinohrady, on Dykova Street, one of the most beautiful areas of the city. A quiet location with parks, playgrounds, and excellent public transport accessibility creates an ideal environment for children.
What languages are taught at PIA?
PIA offers bilingual education in English and Czech. Children naturally acquire the language through play and gradually add more lessons in Czech, which supports bilingual education.
What is the ratio of teachers to children at PIA?
Classes have a maximum of 10 children, cared for by two teachers or a teacher and an assistant. This small group allows for an individual approach and supports the personal development of each child.
What activities and clubs does PIA offer?
PIA focuses on the development of children's talent and offers a wide range of leisure activities. Popular options include music, dance, yoga, swimming, gardening, ballet, choir singing, art classes, sports activities, and trips.
How does PIA collaborate with parents?
PIA closely collaborates with parents, forming practically one team. We maintain regular communication with parents through a WhatsApp group, where we share photos and videos from activities. Personal consultations are also available, and parents often actively participate in the life of the school.
What are the operating hours of PIA and is there flexibility available?
Parents of PIA students use the options of flexible working hours at PIA. They can choose their child's attendance from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM or just from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM, with the possibility of flexible attendance and extended care according to the parents' needs. We also operate during the summer months with an individual program.
How does PIA support the individual development of children?
Due to the small number of children in the class, PIA has the space for teachers to continuously attend to each child, their needs, respect the child's personality, and use elements of Montessori pedagogy for natural development.
How does the admission process and enrollment at PIA work?
Enrollment is open year-round; parents can use the online form on the website or arrange by phone. Capacity is limited, so we recommend early reservation.
Does PIA provide meals for children?
Yes, PIA provides a healthy, balanced diet. We provide children with snacks and lunches with an emphasis on proper eating habits, and parents can see the menu for each upcoming month on WhatsApp. We are also able to accommodate special diets according to individual needs and allergies.
